Here's what the Bounceback Food team have been up to!

With the Cost of Living crisis still impacting us all on a daily basis, teaching people how to make a range of low-cost tasty meals has never been more important! Over summer we have been delivering our Cooking on a Budget workshops on behalf of families across all 4 quadrants of Essex, having received a National Lottery award from The National Lottery Community Fund.

Our workshops have been helping to improve participants’ cookery skills, increase their confidence and reduce social isolation. The hands-on, practical classes have complemented the wider work of our Community Cookery School teams that includes meal drives, community catering and employability workshops. As we develop teams across the UK we continue to develop new programmes, recipes and tools to meet the needs of our beneficiaries. These resources are being shared among our growing network of partner VCSE organisations. Head to the ‘Let’s Cook’ section of our website to see how our digital offer is developing too!

If you’re interested in commissioning our Community Cookery School teams to deliver a range of practical workshops or learning programmes in your area you can request our brochure by emailing [email protected]. Thank you all for supporting our fight against food poverty and food waste across the UK and in particular, players of the National Lottery who have funded this project!
