Our community cookery school has been supporting people living in food poverty in Greater Manchester, Cheshire and North Wales since 2014. We teach people how to cook, donate food to foodbanks and provide catering services for people in disadvantaged areas. Like many third sector organisations, we’ve had to adapt the way we deliver social impact due to COVID-19.
As part of our response, we’re now looking to expand our network of partner charities who benefit from:
Free places on our monthly public cook-alongs! Every month we run our ‘Secret Dishes From Around the World’ online cookalongs, where our participants learn how to cook two exciting recipes from a specific country. Our partner charities can refer people to us for a free place thanks to the ‘buy one, give one’ ticketing model.
Free access to our Cooking & Nutrition Portal! We want to enable people to learn about cooking, budgeting, nutrition, meal planning and reducing food waste – we can provide our partner charities with the ability to distribute free licenses to the people they help.
If you are interested in becoming one of our partner charities, our Manchester team are hosting two information sessions via Zoom before the end of the year:
- Thursday 26th November at 1pm
- Thursday 3rd December at 10am
Email us at [email protected] to book onto a session or to find out more! We look forward to hearing from you.
