The last non-food donation on our reverse advent calendar is toothpaste
The Importance of Toothpaste
Keep those pearly whites fresh: the next item we’d like you to donate for our reverse advent calendar is toothpaste! Essential for oral health, toothpaste is always welcomed at your local foodbank. Such a small donation packs a huge punch, as toothpaste prevents gum disease, chronic tooth pain and much more.
And if you have a new toothbrush that’s going spare, it would be great to pop that in too!
Zero-Plastic Toothpaste
If you’re looking to reduce your single-use plastics, why not check out Ben & Anna’s plastic-free & cruelty-free toothpaste? It defends against tooth decay whilst also whitening your teeth. This vegan toothpaste is crammed with vitamins and antioxidants, so it will leave you with minty-fresh breath whilst also helping the planet. You can buy it from here.
It’s sold through the Bower Collective, an online eco-market. The Bower Collective gives 20p from every purchase towards the Marine Conservation Society’s ‘Save Our Seagrass’ appeal.
This project is to protect endangered seagrass meadows in the UK. Seagrass meadows are essential habitats for marine life and also sequester vast amounts of carbon, so they are also essential for the planet.
Help us Fight Food Poverty This Christmas
And, now that we’re getting closer to Christmas, we’d love to hear how you’re participating in Bounceback’s reverse advent calendar. Maybe you’ve added a few extra bits into the supermarket donation point? Maybe you’re doing it with your faith group?
If you post a picture with your donations, please tag us on social media.
Any posts help us to spread the word about donating to food banks this Christmas!
