Earlier this month we launched our first recipe book, Secret dishes from around the world, at the Royal Exchange in Manchester!
It was a wonderful to celebrate with friends, family and members of our community cookery school in such a magical setting as part of Manchester Central Library’s centenary celebrations.
Secret dishes from around the world has taken 15 months to write, illustrate and design following our ‘Back the book’ crowdfunder back in August 2018. That campaign gave us the funding we needed to commission emerging Manchester-based artist Libby Element to illustrate each of the vegan and vegetarian recipes featured, together with all the key ingredients. The illustrations look stunning! We hope you agree that it’s been worth the wait.
First edition copies can be pre-ordered from our online store – all proceeds from the book will go towards the development of our community cookery school as we continue to proactively tackle food poverty across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and North Wales.
The book can also be ordered via Waterstones, Blackwells, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and many other large book retailers – but you’ll only get 20% off the RRP in our online store!
Once again, thank you to everyone who backed our crowdfunder and helped make this happen – it wouldn’t have been possible without your support and belief in our social enterprise 🙂
