Zoom screen with interns on the Social Enterprise Internship Programme
The past 2 weeks have flown by on our annual Social Enterprise Internship Programme! We’ve had a brilliant time with our team of 30 interns from all over the globe.

This year, we received a record number of applications to join our Social Enterprise Internship Programme. Following a number of interviews, we selected 30 talented interns who worked with us over the past 2 weeks. For the first time we also welcomed interns internationally! The team were all keen to gain experience in the third sector whilst fighting food poverty in the UK.

The interns worked with our team in central Manchester via Zoom and had the opportunity to get involved with a variety of tasks which reflected the fast-paced environment within a social enterprise. They were able to gain experience in a number of fields integral to the third sector, such as marketing, publishing and events management. Our team of interns also had the chance to work within recipe development and created some fantastic recipes! These recipes will join over 200 recipes already on our online Cooking & Nutrition Portal. Get access today when you become a member of our Community Cookery School!

It’s been fantastic to connect 30 likeminded individuals from across the globe through this internship! Congratulations to our 2021 cohort of interns who completed some fantastic work to further the nationwide development of our Community Cookery School.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s programme! To be the first to hear about the 2022 Social Enterprise Internship Programme, sign up to our newsletter below!
