Here's what the Bounceback Food team have been up to!

The Bounceback Food team in Manchester stood outside the new Community Kitchen at Altrincham Market.

On July 1st we opened our first permanent Community Kitchen! Friends, family, volunteers & followers on social media came to celebrate with us at Central Way, Altrincham Market.

The new permanent kitchen, open Tuesday-Saturday 9am-3pm, will provide a year round supply of nutritious meals to our partner foodbanks and sheltered accommodation sites in Manchester thanks to our ‘buy one, give one’ menu & support from members of the public.

Customers tried samples of our menu including the crowd favourite sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry, a tasty veggie chilli, our fresh Buddha bowl and the soup of the day (which was butternut and ginger)!

Our Manchester team will operate the Community Kitchen alongside all of the other Community Cookery School projects that we deliver across Greater Manchester. We also plan to open additional sites in the coming months, to support the development of Bounceback teams in new locations!

Our ‘Cuppas for the Community’ board was full by the end of the day as guests paid coffees & teas forward for people in the community that could do with a free hot brew. Many lovely messages were left on the cups to brighten peoples days!

We’d like to thank Stretford studios who kindly designed and fitted our stall logo print free of charge to help support our Social Enterprise! Also Elliott from Primal Photography for capturing the day with his superb photography.

Additionally a big thank you to Beth from BAH Florals, who lined our tables with beautiful bouquets. Beth is a member of our team and independent florist based in Manchester. Find her on Instagram @bahflorals.

Come say hello and support our social enterprise! We look forward to welcoming you to our Community Kitchen 🙂
