Sometimes getting good rice can be tricky. Follow this simple recipe to fix your rice woes!
300g | basmati rice, washed |
600ml | water |
3 | cardamom pods, crushed |
1. Using a knife, burst
the cardamom pods and place to one side.
2. Place your rice in a sieve and wash with cold water until the water runs
clear.
3. Add rice to a pan
of 600ml water and bring to the boil.
4. Once boiling,
reduce to a low heat, add the cardamom pods then cover with a lid.
5. Cook on a low heat
for 15-20 minutes until no water remains and the rice is cooked.
Make sure you wash the rice properly. Getting rid of the starch is the key to good rice.
