Learn how to make the Middle East’s favourite dip with this simple easy recipe.

Ingredients

400g chickpeas, strained and rinsed
2 tbsps tahini
1-2 lemons, juice
1 tsp ground cumin
4 garlic cloves
2 tsps salt

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend.
  2. Empty into a serving bowl or plate.
  3. Garnish with ingredients of your choice and serve with bread.

Chef’s tips

Toppings such as paprika or parsley are popular ways of adding a little extra flavour.
