Secret Dishes From Around the World 3 (2021) features 40 exciting recipes from 20 countries, beautiful food photography and unique artwork!

Creating this cookbook was a collaborative process from beginning to end. We worked with 20 superb arts charities and social enterprises across the UK that represent the 20 cities where we’re developing Bounceback teams to tackle food poverty. Each organisation was assigned the task of producing an original piece of artwork for the front of their country section.

The artwork created each has its own distinct style, complementing the wide range of cuisines in the book and beautiful food photography that accompanies each recipe.

These are the 20 fabulous charities and social enterprises that we partnered with to create Secret Dishes From Around the World 3. They each provide vital arts support in their respective communities, in the 20 cities where we’re developing Bounceback teams to further our fight against food poverty.

Each arts organisation commissioned an artist (or a group of artists) of their choice. The artists were then assigned one of countries that features in the book. Each artist interpreted the brief differently; some studied the traditional art of the culture that they were representing, others chose to focus on their personal links with the culture – in most cases the work produced was by an artist from the country selected.

The book was completed during the UK’s third lockdown in 2021. Later in the year our central Manchester team went on a UK book tour to meet all of the organisations and artists involved to celebrate publishing the book! Interviews with everyone involved in the project feature in the second series of our Share Your Secrets podcast, which you can listen to via Spotify, Apple and Google podcasts.

Each recipe is accompanied by beautiful food photography and many feature vegan switches in the ‘Chef’s Tips’ section, making the recipes accessible for a greater range of dietary requirements.

In our third cookbook you’ll find 40 recipes (2 per country) from China, Iran, Bangladesh, South Korea, Tanzania, Morocco, Haiti, Chile, Ukraine, Syria, France, Germany, Ghana, Croatia, Venezuela, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, USA and Libya.
