This traditional Scottish biscuit is classic childhood favourite and is super easy to make.
120g | butter, cubed |
150g | plain flour |
80g | caster sugar |
80g | ground almond |
1. Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan/ gas mark 4 and line a baking tray with grease proof paper.
2. Into a large mixing bowl, sieve the flour then mix in the butter until no bare clumps remain.
3. Mix in sugar and ground almonds then using your hands form to a dough.
4. On a lightly floured surface, using a rolling pin roll the dough to roughly 1/2cm thick, then cut into shape of your choice.
5. Place the biscuits on the baking tray and cook in the oven for about 20 minutes then serve.
Serve with strawberries and cream!
