A conventional and easy dessert.
115g | butter |
200g | brown Sugar |
1 | egg |
140g | plain flour |
2-3tbsp | milk |
2 tsp | vanilla extract |
Pinch | salt |
1. Start by preheating the oven to 180*C/350*F/ gas mark 4.
2. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with greaseproof paper.
3. Whisk together the sugar and butter then mix in the beaten egg and vanilla essence.
4. Next add in the flour and salt and mix well until all ingredients are combined.
5. Now put it in the oven to bake for 25 – 30 minutes. When they are ready, the edges will be lightly browned.
6. Cut into squares and enjoy!
White chocolate chips are a good addition! Just add at the same time as the flour.
Serve with ice cream for a tasty dessert.
