This fast food banger is so named for its stomach filling abilities. A fun one to do with the family!
4 | large frankfurters or hotdogs |
4 | hot dog buns or mini baguettes, split down the middle |
1 | red onion, finely diced |
2 | avocados, stone and skin removed, diced |
100g | fresh tomatoes, chopped |
juice of 1 | lime |
1 | coriander, a handful, chopped |
to taste | mayonnaise |
to taste | chilli sauce |
to taste | salt and pepper |
1. Begin by mixing together the avocado, lime juice, coriander, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
2. Next pre heat and oven to 120 degrees and place the buns inside.
3. Add the frankfurters to a
pan with boiling water and cook for 5 minutes
4. Now heat a skillet to a
high heat, remove the frankfurters from the water and place them on the skillet
and cook until the frankfurters and scorched. If a skillet is unavailable use a
frying pan.
5. Finally cut down the middle
of your buns and line with the avocado mixture. Place the frankfurter on top,
Now cover with the red onion, tomatoes, chilli sauce and mayonnaise.
