Granola

Easy, healthy and quick to make, you can't go wrong

This dish is delicious in Greek yoghurt with chopped berries, or bananas with honey to top. Alternatively, it can be grabbed as a snack. 

Ingredients

340g 

rolled oats

150g

mixed nuts/seeds

100g

dried fruit

1/2 tsp

cinnamon

3 tbsps

olive oil, heated

100ml

honey

1 tsp

vanilla extract

salt, to taste

Method

1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/ gas mark 4, and line a baking sheet with baking paper.

2. Combine the rolled oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon and salt in a mixing bowl.

3. Pour the olive oil, honey and vanilla extract in and mix until the dry ingredients are coated.

4. Spread the granola evenly in the baking sheet and cook for 20-25 minutes, stir halfway through.

5. Allow the granola to cool for 45 minutes and add dried fruit (and chocolate if using).

Chef’s tips

You can use any combination of nuts/seeds/dried fruit or even chocolate chips, once cooled!
